We had such an overwhelming positive response to our 20th Australian Anniversary Limited Edition models of Tanglewood Guitars, that we are proud to introduce an all new 2025 edition. The 2025 edition features all the same pro features as the original but with some subtle aesthetic differences, to make it just a little bit different.

Inspired by the majestic natural landscape and clear endless skies of Australia, the architecture of these special instruments and their unique design signatures reflects the respect and gratitude the Tanglewood luthier team have for National Music, the professional retailers nationwide and you the musicians and artists of Australia who took this brand into your hearts all
those years ago and made it your own.

Each guitar in this limited edition series is meticulously handcrafted by Tanglewood’s master luthiers, ensuring the utmost attention to detail and precision.

The selection of tonewoods, the careful construction, and the fine-tuned bracing patterns all contribute to a guitar that not only looks stunning but also produces a rich, resonant sound that inspires musicians across genres.

THE WOOD

Each Tanglewood guitar is built from only the very best materials which are first selected from country of origin, cut, kiln dried and most importantly, stored correctly pre production.

The top on each Tanglewood guitar is made from the highest grade Cedar, tight grained, rigid along the length, yet flexible across the grain and when this is married to the unique bracing pattern, we have the heart of the Tanglewood sound, a sound that matures beautifully over time.

The Mahogany back and sides are both traditionally quartersawn. The back is graduated by highly skilled craftsmen until it resonates with the top (a fact generally ignored by most guitar makers though it has an incredible impact on overall sound) to breathe, generating superb physical resonance.
