The newly updated V2 circuit has been precisely tuned to enhance the bloom, sustain, and sag of notes, providing a classic character that spans across all gain levels.

In our pursuit of excellence with the G-Series, we invested a substantial amount of time to perfect its feel. Initial prototypes exhibited rigidity, prompting us to hone in on an amp-like bloom and response that felt instinctive and engaging. Through numerous adjustments and collaboration with artists who sought specific tonal responses in their signature pedals, we fine-tuned our tube amps to create a tactile yet approachable experience. Introducing Revv's G-Series pedals, a collection of all-analog 'amps-in-a-box' designed to capture the essence of our flagship Generator 120 MK3 amplifier. Among them, the G2 stands out as the Green crunch channel and holds the distinction of being the only pedal that has influenced the design of an amp. Building upon the Generator 120 MK2's Green channel, the G2 offers exceptional versatility and character, serving as an essential foundation for the Green channel of the Generator 120 MK3.

Three Voices

The G2 is celebrated as our most versatile G-Series pedal, largely due to its innovative three Drive voices. The Off position delivers a remarkably open sound with minimal color, making it an excellent choice for boosting or EQ applications. The Blue voice introduces a musical breakup and compression that enhances edge-of-breakup tones or provides a core overdrive sound. When you switch to the Red voice, you enter 'hot rodded classic stack' territory, allowing for a rich, dynamic overdrive experience.

The Technical Details

In its neutral state, with all controls set to noon, the G2 reveals its true character, making it an ideal platform for exploring the powerful 3-band EQ. Engaging the drive modes results in a squishier response and increased distortion, making this pedal a straightforward yet toneful all-analog option that operates on standard isolated 9-volt center-negative power supplies.
