Few amplifiers have influenced the sonic landscape of modern guitar—particularly within heavy musical styles—quite like the MESA Dual Rectifier Solo Head, a claim that resonates even more profoundly when considering its higher-powered counterpart, the Triple Rectifier Solo Head.

Ever since they arrived on the scene in 1992, these two heads have defined and essentially reshaped the sound of Rock guitar. Their influence even sparked the creation of entirely new genres, as artists utilized their massive walls of high-gain distortion to forge the detuned rhythm crunch and bass-heavy foundations that defined a generation’s soundtrack.

More than three decades later, and following the successful return of the 90s-era Dual Rectifier to the production line, Mesa Boogie is reviving the powerhouse Triple Rectifier for those who believe that excess is merely sufficient. Furthermore, the Dual Rectifier is now available in its original, budget-friendly Standard Dress configuration, which showcases a black chassis, polished aluminum Diamond Plate, and chrome speed knobs.

This specific aesthetic transformed how gear was perceived both on stage and on screen, cementing the Rectifier as an iconic piece of equipment that looked every bit as aggressive as it sounded. On the rear panel, the array of power and rectifier tubes forms a glowing glass backdrop that serves as a visual warning of the massive sonic force waiting to be triggered by the Standby switch.

This Triple Rectifier delivers layered harmonics, a precise low end, and a percussive midrange with all the power and impact characteristic of the original 90s design, providing a high-gain presence unmatched by any other amplifier in history. You can now experience this genuine Rock icon, crafted by the same artisans who built the original units three decades ago; every ounce of that classic performance is now contained within a sturdy, modern build that is fully protected by MESA’s comprehensive 5-Year Warranty.
