The stunning Ludwig 110th Anniversary Classic Maple Drum Kit is a collector's dream and your chance to own a premium rarity - but you’ll need to act fast to avoid disappointment; this kit is one of only 75 in existence, and at the time of writing, one of only 3 in the Aus. Ludwig has celebrated their 110 years of consistent high-grade craftsmanship by producing this sublime 3-piece kit that honours the early days of their illustrious, industrious history.
This kit striking finish is inspired by Ludwig’s first range of wraps introduced way back in 1927. This range included the alluring Emerald Pearl finish, a beautiful, vivid green pearlescent wrap that only made its way onto a small number of kits before its discontinuation in 1929. Over the decades since, its rarity and significance to Ludwig’s history have seen any drum featuring the Emerald Pearl finish become a highly sought-after collector's item, and its beauty more and more appealing.
To celebrate 110 years of the company's dedication and expert craftsmanship, Ludwig has resurrected this finish for a very limited run of Classic Maple kits and snares, offering you the opportunity to share in their celebrations and own a stunning homage to their history. This re-issued version of the Emerald Pearl finish (monikered “Vintage Emerald Pearl”) features an authentic, naturally "aged" appearance to better match the qualities that contemporary collectors find so alluring.
This 3-piece Maple shell pack comes in vintage sizes in keeping with the late 20’s - a shallow 22 x 14” bass drum, a large 13 x 9” unmounted rack tom and a 16 x 16” floor tom, all featuring brass-plated hardware: lugs, tensions rods, brackets, legs, spurs, memory locks and single-flanged hoops. This shell pack also comes complete with Ludwig's 110th Anniversary badge and Certificate of Authenticity.
