Engineered as the definitive instrument for metal, the Ibanez RGD is crafted to meet the unique challenges of down-tuning that standard guitars simply cannot handle. To ensure the instrument remains fully responsive while capturing the thick, rich tonal character you demand from lowered tunings, we have lengthened the scale to 26.5 inches. This one-inch extension provides the perfect balance—longer than a conventional guitar, yet still compact enough to maintain the effortless, fast-playing feel required for rapid soloing. Furthermore, the body features extra-deep cutaways, allowing you to reach the highest notes on the fretboard with complete comfort.
