Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Felipe Andreoli has established himself as a bassist of global renown. His exceptional skill is showcased across a diverse range of musical projects, including his contributions to the world-famous band Angra, Kiko Loureiro’s solo ensemble, the instrumental group 4Action, Matanza Ritual, and his own individual solo work.
Across an extensive discography and international tours that have reached more than 35 countries, Andreoli has shared his art through performances, clinics, and masterclasses. A highlight of his career occurred in 2022, when he performed on the South American tour for Sons Of Apollo in place of the legendary Billy Sheehan, playing alongside such musical icons as Mike Portnoy, Derek Sherinian, Jeff Scott Soto, and Bumblefoot. His technical proficiency on the bass has secured him the title of Brazil’s top bassist for 23 consecutive years across a variety of respected publications, and his stature in the industry is further evidenced by his multiple cover appearances in major music magazines both at home in Brazil and around the world.
While creating his signature instrument, Felipe collaborated closely with Ibanez to engineer a BTB bass that offers widespread accessibility while retaining critical specifications like a 35-inch scale length, neck-through construction, a zero fret, and a mono-rail bridge. This partnership resulted in the FAB1-WK, an instrument outfitted with powerful α1 pickups, all-black hardware, and striking white pearloid block inlays, all carefully chosen to support Felipe’s technically varied approach to the bass
