Crafted from laminate mahogany, the Flight DUB38 embodies a timeless quality with its hardwood construction, known for its deep musical roots dating back centuries. The rich hues of mahogany can range from a gentle pinkish brown to a more intense reddish brown, with a natural tendency to darken beautifully over time. Don’t be deceived by mahogany's understated appearance; this wood, particularly when used in ukuleles with an arched back, brings forth a powerful sound that truly captivates.

The instrument features a neck made of okoume, paired with a techwood fingerboard and bridge. Okoume provides strength and stability, while techwood is not only aesthetically pleasing but also environmentally responsible, durable, and robust, creating an ideal combination for players.

In our continuous effort to enhance the ukulele's design, we have completely transformed the bridge, resulting in a look that is both elegant and sturdier.

The DUB38 has evolved to include the excellent Double C1U active pickup, which marks a notable advancement in its electro-acoustic capabilities. Previously, models produced until mid-2020 were fitted with a passive Artec pickup. Some sellers may still carry those older versions. However, the newer DUB38 models incorporate the active pickup, with its controls conveniently located beneath the sound hole to eliminate the need for an additional cavity on the side of the instrument. Most importantly, the sound quality of these active pickups is exceptional, and the updated models proudly feature an "A" in their designation to signify this enhancement.
