Description
Celebrate three-quarters of a century of foundational tone and revolutionary design with the 75th Anniversary Telecaster Collection. Each model in this collection showcases the rich heritage and legendary tones that have made the Tele an unrivaled icon, providing the perfect instrument for everyone from vintage purists to progressive players seeking cutting-edge features. Immerse yourself in the legacy of the Telecaster and own a piece of Fender history with this commemorative collection.
As part of this celebration, the Fender American Vintage II series presents a remarkably accurate take on the revolutionary designs that altered the course of musical history. Built with period-accurate bodies, necks, and hardware, premium finishes, and meticulously voiced, year-specific pickups, each instrument captures the essence of authentic Fender craftsmanship and tone.
The story begins in 1951, when Fender was caught between the end of the "Broadcaster" name and the dawn of the "Telecaster." After receiving a telegram from Gretsch regarding their "Broadkaster" trademark, Fender began clipping the "Broadcaster" name from headstock decals, shipping guitars with no model name on the headstock at all—and a legend was born. Seventy-five years later, that legend lives on in the 75th Anniversary American Vintage II 1951 Nocaster, a meticulous tribute to one of the most storied instruments ever made.
This guitar features an ash body finished in Nocaster Blonde and is dressed in our exclusive Heirloom Lacquer treatment, an aged nitrocellulose finish crafted to emulate the natural wear and patina of a vintage instrument that has spent decades in the hands of a player. The result is a guitar that doesn’t just look vintage; it feels vintage right out of the case. The substantial '51 "U"-shaped hard rock maple neck plays like a dream, featuring a 7.25" radius fingerboard and vintage tall frets. True to vintage-accurate Nocaster specifications, the 12th fret face-dot spacing is narrow, and the sole single Phillips-head fastener on the guitar is located at the truss rod nut.
Authentic Fender style is delivered through the triple brass saddle bridge and single-line "Fender Deluxe" tuners, while the 75th Anniversary Blackguard Telecaster pickups honor the guitar’s direct lineage to the original, providing that raw, chimey, and unmistakable blackguard twang that started it all. The instruments in the American Vintage II series are direct descendants of the original Fenders, designed for players with a fine appreciation for vintage Fender tone and feel and built with unmatched quality, down to the last screw. These are Fender electrics in their purest form, and none are more historically charged than this. Discover the Fender American Vintage II 1951 Nocaster: 75 years of the guitar that had no name and changed everything.
