Mooloolaba Music is thrilled to announce the arrival of the Epiphone Masterbuilt Gem Archer Signature Sheraton Guitar, an exceptional instrument that pays homage to the legendary 1966 Sheraton once played by Gem Archer, known for his remarkable contributions to Oasis, Beady Eye, and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds. This signature model, inspired by the vintage Sheraton loaned to Gem by Noel Gallagher, captures the essence of that prized guitar while offering modern enhancements. First introduced in 1958, the Sheraton has long been considered a classic Epiphone original, and this Masterbilt edition gracefully marries timeless semi-hollowbody design with exceptional craftsmanship and high-quality components, mirroring the standards found in Epiphone’s Inspired by Gibson Custom range.
The guitar beautifully displays the etched Double Diamond emblem on the back of the headstock, a nod to its elite lineage. Crafted from a 5-ply layered maple and poplar body with a solid maple centerblock, the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton delivers impressive sustain and minimizes feedback, while the multi-ply binding on the top, back, headstock, and fretboard showcases its attention to detail. The comfortable one-piece mahogany neck features a 60s C profile and is complemented by a rosewood fretboard equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets, adorned with sophisticated mother-of-pearl block and abalone triangle inlays. A striking Sloped Dovewing headstock displays the historic Epiphone logo and a Tree of Life motif, both inlaid in mother-of-pearl. The guitar is elegantly finished in a rich Vintage Gloss and accented with gold hardware, including Grover Rotomatic tuners with Milk Bottle buttons and a Graph Tech nut that ensures stable tuning. An ABR-1 bridge and Casino-style raised diamond trapeze tailpiece complete the stunning setup.
At its core, the Masterbilt Gem Archer Sheraton is powered by a pair of USA-made Gibson Mini Humbucker pickups, equipped with dedicated volume and tone controls utilizing CTS potentiometers and Mallory capacitors. The reliable Switchcraft three-way toggle and ¼” output jack facilitate seamless signal routing. Available in both right-handed and left-handed configurations, this guitar ships with a rugged Epiphone hardshell case, making it perfectly suited for both the road and the stage.
