Joan Jett has always charted her own course, and her signature guitar is a testament to that independent streak. As she maintains her influence on modern musicians through her activism, music, and distinct aura, the Epiphone Joan Jett Olympic Special captures that fierce energy in a streamlined, gig-ready package. With its crisp, minimalist aesthetic and focused design, the single humbucker pickup provides an assertive, powerful sound. This instrument is built for those who prioritize attitude and clarity, offering a no-nonsense tool for players who want to plug in, amplify, and command attention just as Joan does.

Drawing inspiration from the original Epiphone Olympic Special, this iteration provides all the essentials for rocking out without any unnecessary extras. The instrument is crafted with a lightweight, asymmetrical double cutaway mahogany body, ensuring both comfort and physical freedom, and it includes a glued-in mahogany neck carved into the Olympic Special profile. You will find a rosewood fretboard featuring a 12” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, and pearloid dot inlays. The headstock sports the traditional Olympic Special shape, equipped with die-cast tuners and a Graph Tech nut to ensure consistent tuning stability, while a gold reproduction of Joan’s signature on the back provides a refined personal detail.

The heart of the guitar is a single PowerHammer ProBucker pickup, which produces an immediate and raw sound. The control layout is intentionally uncluttered: you get one CTS volume potentiometer managed by a black Speed knob that includes a rubber grip for reliable and accurate adjustments. To round out the pared-down electronics, there is an on/off toggle switch that functions as a kill-switch.

Embodying Joan’s iconic flair and drive, the Joan Jett Olympic Special is a precision instrument for musicians who admire her bold performance style, serving as a perfect choice for fans and performers alike. The package comes complete with a custom premium gig bag and a set of artist stickers. Featuring one pickup, one knob, and one singular purpose, this guitar is built for pure rock; simply pick it up and make it your own.
