Epiphone has engineered the new Futura Series to meet the demands of contemporary guitarists seeking professional-grade performance paired with progressive design. These Inspired by Gibson instruments are ideally suited for live performances, studio tracking, and modern content creation. By combining striking, colour-shifting finishes with reimagined pickups and flexible electronics like phase switching and coil splitting, these guitars provide the exact aesthetic and sonic profile players need to craft a unique identity. Furthermore, the inclusion of innovative, high-performance elements—such as comfortable neck profiles, compound-radius fretboards, and stainless steel frets—positions the Futura Series as an essential, cutting-edge acquisition for any serious guitarist.

The legendary Gibson ES-355 has remained a staple for decades, and Epiphone now presents the Futura ES-355 as a modern reimagining of that iconic 1958 semi-hollow design. To promote comfort while minimizing weight, the guitar utilizes a solid maple centreblock equipped with a weight-relief window, a feature that simultaneously boosts sustain and suppresses feedback. Reliability is built into the hardware, with Posi-Lok strap buttons ensuring a secure fit without extra accessories, alongside a LockTone Stop Bar tailpiece and a LockTone Tune-O-Matic bridge that guarantee steady intonation and sustain.

Crafted for performance, the mahogany neck features a fast, Modern C profile paired with a bound ebony fingerboard. The fretboard houses 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets decorated with sophisticated Super 400-style pearloid split block inlays, while the 10”-14” compound radius promotes easy bends and fluid chording. The 5-ply bound Kalamazoo headstock is topped with a Graph Tech nut and locking Grover Rotomatic tuners, complemented by mother-of-pearl Custom split diamond and Epiphone inlays.

Driven by a set of ProBucker Ignite humbuckers, the Futura ES-355 produces a clear, articulate, and dynamic sound. Players can access an expansive tonal range by using the push/pull volume and tone pots to engage phase and coil-splitting options. With three distinct Chromashift finishes—Dragonfly Shift, Firestorm Shift, and Midnight Ember Shift—this instrument is built to capture attention on camera or on stage. Offering a high-quality semi-hollow experience, a modern look, and immense tonal variety, the Futura ES-355 is built to inspire and includes a premium gig bag for travel-ready convenience.
