Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs truly embodies Epiphone’s philosophy of being suitable for every stage. His journey, from the early intimate performances at The Water Rats to the iconic Knebworth concerts, was closely tied to his Epiphone Riviera, which provided the compelling, textured rhythms that became synonymous with Oasis’s signature sound. This legendary instrument, particularly his 1984 Riviera, played a crucial role during the productions of the albums Definitely Maybe and (What’s the Story) Morning Glory, as well as throughout the band’s remarkable ascent in the 1990s. In tribute to Bonehead, Epiphone has meticulously crafted a faithful replica of this iconic guitar. 

The new Bonehead Riviera boasts a five-ply maple body featuring a solid maple centerblock, engineered to improve sustain while minimizing unwanted feedback. Cream binding elegantly delineates the edges of both the top and back, and the three-piece maple neck is shaped with a SlimTaper C profile and volute. Topped with a bound rosewood fingerboard, it includes 22 medium jumbo frets adorned with pearloid parallelogram inlays. The Sloped Dovewing headstock is enhanced with premium die cast tuners that have oval metal buttons, a Graph Tech nut for seamless tuning, and a two-ply crescent bullet truss rod cover embossed with the Epiphone “E” logo. It also features a stunning mother-of-pearl Epiphone logo and Gibson Crown, with Bonehead’s signature beautifully replicated in gold on the back. 

Equipped with a pair of Alnico Classic PRO™ humbuckers, this Riviera model produces a lush, vintage-inspired sound. Each pickup operates with individual volume and tone controls utilizing CTS potentiometers, complemented by black witch hat knobs with silver inserts for aesthetic flair and quick reference. To ensure your guitar stays safe during transport, a hardshell case is provided, perfect for travels to rehearsals, recording sessions, or tour stops.
