At the heart of a BOSS premium cable is the stranded center core wire that carries your instrument’s sound. The oxygen-free mono-crystal copper we use is produced with a special process to achieve 99.99% purity. This brings numerous sonic benefits over more common copper, including ultra-linear signal transfer, increased headroom, ultra-wide frequency bandwidth, and improved conductivity for minimal resistance. Every nuance of your sound is delivered with the utmost transparency, punch, and fidelity, accurately translating the true richness and character of your instrument’s pickups and natural resonances.
The materials that surround the center core are also vitally important to overall performance. Made of the same high-grade copper as the core wire, our cable’s braided shielding provides a protective shroud for superior noise rejection and lasting durability. A PVC conductive layer around the center core further improves fidelity by eliminating handling noise as you move with the cable. Our connectors feature 24K gold plating, offering corrosion resistance and improved conductivity over common nickel connectors.
