As you can see by the heavy relic finish, it feels like a perfectly worn pair of denim jeans. Custom made for Mooloolaba Music (Custom Shop #72  -  Mooloolaba Music #01). This Guitar features a wide range convey humbucker, as originally designed by Seth lover in the early 70s for this particular model of Fender Guitars. The guitar is a 67-quarter sawn maple neck with a gorgeous laminated triple-A rosewood with medium jumbo-tall threads and classic 70s machine heads, and the crowning jewel for many collectors – the fender custom shop stamp.

Another amazing custom shop made exclusively for Mooloolaba Music, this iconic daphne blue Stratocaster is stamped with the iconic custom shop label (Custom Shop #63 – Mooloolaba Music #01). This 1963 Closet Classic Daphne Blue features a combination of everything you can expect from a classic strat paired with several modern features you’ve come to expect from a modern Stratocaster. We’ll start by pointing out the machine heads, the string posts are actually tapered down from low-E to high-E which increases the brake angle across the nut, which offers more sustain and solid connection towards the nut. This Stratocaster features a lovely laminated fretboard on a double-A flamed maple neck, the back of the neck is unfinished. As you may know, a lot of players actually sand down the back of the neck of their Stratocaster to take off that lacquer, which is already done for you by the experts at the custom shop at Fender. Coming in Fenders closet classic finish, whilst not as worn as the relic finishes offered by the custom shop, this finish offers plenty of chequering that adds plenty of flavour to the iconic daphne blue finish.

Some of the other modern finishes found in this guitar are dual-mag pickups. Dual Mag stands for Dual Magnet, meaning that the pickups feature two kinds of alnico magnets (Alnico 5 and Alnico 2). What this does is bring out the best tonal characteristics of the bottom strings with one magnet, and bring the best tonal characteristics out of the treble strings with the other magnet.

This Guitar also features the Strat Blender, which is rolled all the way back and allows you to bring in a combination of your neck pickup and your bridge pickup lick you’d find in a telecaster, and when rolled all the way forward allows you to showcase that iconic bridge pickup sound the Stratocaster is known for.

Truth is these particular Guitars won’t stick around long (in fact they could already be sold) but if you’d like to get your hands on a fender custom shop beauty we always have new guitars hitting the shop so for your best chance check out our Fender custom shop range today!
