The P24 streamlines the process by transferring all channels and their specific labels from your console via AES50 or StageConnect, providing you with ample time to perfect your mix. Each personal mixer features 13 hardware faders, allowing you to control 12 stereo groups plus a dedicated mic input. Because the P24 maintains active communication with the console and other daisy-chained units, setup is effortless. Even when using Ultranet—which does not support label data transfer—you can simply copy the configuration from the first unit in the chain to the others, ensuring you spend less time talking and more time performing.

Whether you are utilizing a single P24 for an artist in a recording booth or managing a massive orchestral setup with multiple daisy-chained P24HUBs, configuration remains simple. The P24HUB is particularly suited for large-scale touring, though P24 units can also be daisy-chained independently for smaller, spontaneous gigs. Seamless communication is essential for any successful show, and the P24’s StageTalk intercom system facilitates cohesive interaction between FOH engineers, stage technicians, and musicians. In the studio, the built-in microphones allow artists to speak with the engineer, while live performers can utilize an auxiliary mic and footswitch to trigger cues like repeating a chorus. Whatever the setting, the P24 offers a tailored solution.

For peak performance and the reliability required for long cable runs, we recommend the use of high-quality DMX cabling. While standard XLR cables are sufficient for shorter distances, their lack of a capacitance standard means performance can fluctuate; investing in DMX cables ensures the P24 operates at its best. Designed for intuitive operation, the P24 eliminates menu diving by providing dedicated hardware faders, along with controls for Panorama, Tilt-EQ, and Limiter, allowing you to sculpt your ideal mix with ease. The system further simplifies workflow by pulling channel labels and mode settings directly from the console, with channels defaulting to stereo while remaining adjustable to mono or dual-mono modes.

The P24’s internal microphones serve as an effective tool for talkback, particularly in studio environments. By pressing the TALK button, signals from these mics are broadcast to all P24 units in the chain or to the P24HUB, which is available separately. Additionally, an integrated XLR input accommodates any dynamic microphone for talkback purposes, which can be operated via a footswitch even while playing. Furthermore, the onboard mics can be blended into your monitor mix to capture the natural ambience of the room. Regarding connectivity, the P24HUB supports up to four direct P24 connections, with the option to daisy-chain a second unit to each, totaling eight mixers per hub; the hub can also output each individual monitor mix via 16 analog TRS outputs. While you can daisy-chain P24 units without a hub, please note that every second mixer will require its own dedicated DC power supply.
