Each coil is wound with a distinct number of turns using vintage-style 42 AWG plain enamel wire, resulting in remarkable clarity and an impressive dynamic range. The construction features a solid nickel silver baseplate and cover, along with faithfully reproduced butyrate bobbins, maple spacers, nickel-plated slugs, and Fillister no.5 pole screws. Additionally, the incorporation of sand cast Alnico IV magnets ensures that The Mule delivers a quick response in the bass, rich mids, and finely controlled highs. Even at lower gain settings, you can achieve smooth harmonic feedback filled with overtones, while clean tones come alive with the depth and unmistakable vintage character that defines this pickup. Designed for an expressive and clear vocal tone, The Mule also excels at driving amplifiers into powerful overdrive when the moment calls for it.
