The same traditions that have gone into Ludwig snare drums since 1909 continue to shape the Classic Maple line. Every Ludwig Classic Maple snare drum begins its life as a blank of hand-selected North American maple. Shells are formed by skilled hands at Ludwig's facility in North Carolina, USA, and tested to meet real-world gigging conditions.
Ludwig holds claim to the most recorded, toured-with, and sought-after drum sounds in the industry. The Classic Maple snare line celebrates the golden era of Ludwig snares with some collectible appointments, including Small Bowtie lugs, a Brass Cast Keystone badge, along with some updates, like the more modern P85 throw off.
